FAQ

Instructor questions, answered

Here's what most instructors ask before getting started.

Getting started

Everything you need before your first booking.

How do I join Flexidrive as an instructor?

Book a call with Glen, our Head of Instructors. It's a quick conversation to make sure Flexidrive is the right fit for you. No pressure, no commitment. If you're approved you can be live and taking bookings within days.

How long does onboarding take?

Once you've had your call with Glen and been approved, you can be fully set up and live within a few minutes. We keep it simple, create your profile, set your availability, and you're ready to go.

What qualifications do I need?

You need to be a fully qualified ADI with a valid licence and insurance. We verify everything during onboarding, it's straightforward and handled as part of the process.

Is it free to join?

Completely free. No joining fees, no monthly subscription, no upfront costs. Ever. We earn when you earn, that's it.

Do I need to leave my current students?

No. Your existing students stay completely yours. We never contact them or interfere with your current setup. You simply open the slots you want to fill with new learners, everything else stays exactly as it is.

How it works

Day to day on the Flexidrive platform.

How do learners find me?

Once your profile is live, learners in your area can see your availability, ratings, and profile details. They request a booking based on your open slots. You approve every booking before it's confirmed, nothing happens without your say so.

Do I have to accept every booking request?

No. You approve every booking yourself. If a request doesn't suit you for any reason you can decline it. You're in full control of who you teach and when.

Can I set my own availability?

Yes. You open and close slots entirely at your own discretion. Change your availability any time, no notice required, no one needs to know.

Can I teach part time?

Absolutely. One slot a week or twenty, it's entirely up to you. There's no minimum commitment and no pressure to take on more than suits your schedule.

What happens if a learner cancels?

If a learner cancels within 24 hours, you are still paid. Every lesson is prepaid through the app before it's confirmed, so your income is protected regardless of last-minute cancellations.

Payments

How and when you get paid.

How does payment work?

Every lesson is prepaid by the learner through the app before you confirm the booking. You never chase a payment or handle cash. Your earnings are tracked automatically and paid out weekly to your bank account.

When do I get paid?

Working week is Monday - Sunday and you are paid the following Wednesday automatically. You can see a full breakdown of your earnings at any time in the app, lessons completed, amounts owed, and payment history all in one place.

Is there a minimum amount before I get paid?

No minimum threshold. Whatever you earn in a week is paid out automatically.

Ratings and reviews

How the rating system works.

How are instructor ratings calculated?

Learners rate their instructor after every lesson. Your rating is an average of all reviews you've received on the platform. Ratings are visible to learners before they book so keeping a strong score matters.

Can I dispute a review?

Yes. If you believe a review is unfair or inaccurate you can contact the Flexidrive team to dispute it. We review disputes fairly and will investigate any review that appears to violate our guidelines.

What if I get a negative review?

One negative review won't define your rating. The best response is to continue delivering great lessons, your average score will reflect your overall performance over time. If you have a specific concern about a review contact our support team.
